Please make an appointment if you would like to see a doctor or another health care professional.

For non-urgent reviews and problems, please give yourself enough time to arrange a convenient appointment. Our appointment book allows us to offer you times well in advance. If you are on a repeat prescription and you need a review, give us a call when you receive your last prescription, so that we can offer you a convenient appointment.

If your problem is more urgent, please tell our receptionist and we will make every effort to fit you in as soon as possible, and in emergencies we will see you on the same day. In this case you may not be able to see your usual doctor at your usual surgery. You may be put through to speak to a member of the Urgent Care Team so that we can assess the urgency of your problem. Please note that this is not for medication requests or general advice.

Please let us know if you cannot attend your appointment. Every month many appointments are wasted due to patients not attending.

Your appointment is for yourself and for one problem only, family members will need to book separately.

If you are ringing on behalf of someone we will need prior consent form the patient before discussing any medical information.

Appointments with doctors

Potton: 01767 260340

Gamlingay: 01767 651544

We offer appointments between 8:30 and 10:50 and 15:00 to 17:55, depending on doctor and location.

Home visits

Home Visits are for patients whose medical condition prevents them from attending the surgery. Please let us know before 11.00 am if you need a home visit.  You will usually speak to a doctor to assess the situation first. Please remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time it takes to make a visit and facilities to examine and assess a patient at the surgery are far better than at home.

Appointments with nurses

Nurse appointments are available from 8:30 to 11:30 and 14:00 to 17.50.

Appointments with the health care assistants

To avoid a trip to the hospital our health care assistants are trained to take blood samples, do ECGs, blood pressure checks and urine analysis. Usually you will be referred by a doctor or nurse but for certain chronic disease monitoring you may be able to make appointments directly.

Tests and results - Are available to view online

If you are not registered for online service, please ask one of the reception team to assist you.

If you require additional information regarding your test results or you are unable to view them you will be able to book a pre bookable telephone consultation with the nurse who will be able to advise you.

Please note, test results requested via the hospital will not be available online to view or through the surgery. Please contact the relevant department at the hospital to discuss.

Specimen drop offs

Please ensure that you drop off your samples before 11am to be ready for the hospital courier.
