Minor illness clinics

We have trained nurses who are specialised in the diagnosis and treatment of common ailments. These are conditions like common infections, (cough, earache, sinusitis), skin conditions (eczema, rashes), emergency contraception and many more. If you need an appointment on the day it is often is easier to find an appointment with one of our nurses than with a doctor. The nurse will have access to a doctor for further advice should this be necessary.

Cryotherapy

Some skin lesions like warts and tags can be frozen with liquid nitrogen. Your doctor will advise you about this at your appointment.

Family planning

Our practice can advise you on family planning and contraception. Dr Jarvis is pleased to offer a coil fitting service in-house. You may be referred to her by your usual doctor or practice nurse.

Flu clinics

Every year we have walk in flu clinics and catch-up clinics before the flu season starts (usually starting in October). Please refer to the up to date information on our homepage regarding times and places.

Physiotherapy

You can be referred to a physiotherapist by your doctor but you can also self-refer with the enclosed form. The clinics are usually held at Biggleswade Hospital, Potton Road.

Just print the form, fill it out in full and send it to the address supplied. A physiotherapist will look at your form and contact you to arrange an appointment based on the information you have supplied. Unfortunately, the self referral service is not available if you are under 16 years of age or require physiotherapy for neurological, breathing or gynaecological problems. This will require a referral by your GP.
