Contraception & Sexual Health Services

The surgery offers contraception advice.

Sexual Health and Contraception Services are also available at iCaSH on a self referral basis. You will need to call 0300 300 3030 to book an appointment. Please click here for more information.

Minor illness clinics

We have trained nurses who are specialised in the diagnosis and treatment of common ailments. These are conditions like common infections, (cough, earache, sinusitis), skin conditions (eczema, rashes), emergency contraception and many more. If you need an appointment on the day it is often is easier to find an appointment with one of our nurses than with a doctor. The nurse will have access to a doctor for further advice should this be necessary.

Some skin lesions like warts and tags can be frozen with liquid nitrogen. Your doctor will advise you about this at your appointment.

Family planning

Our practice can advise you on family planning and contraception.

Flu clinics

Every year we have walk in flu clinics and catch-up clinics before the flu season starts (usually starting in October). Please refer to the up to date information on our homepage regarding times and places.

Instead of going and waiting at Accident and Emergency, check if you can be treated instead at the surgery.  we are able to deal with many non life-threatening accidents quickly and efficiently.

  • Following blows to the head where there has been no loss of consciousness

  • Recent eye injury

  • Partial thickness burns or scalds involving broken skin – not over 1” diameter – not involving the hands, feet, face, neck or genital areas

Minor surgery clinic

If you require a small surgical procedure it may be able to be dealt with in-house, your doctor will list you for an appointment so that you don't need to go to hospital.

You can be referred to a physiotherapist by your doctor but you can also self-refer with the enclosed form. The clinics are usually held at Biggleswade Hospital, Potton Road.

Just print the form, fill it out in full and send it to the address supplied. A physiotherapist will look at your form and contact you to arrange an appointment based on the information you have supplied. Unfortunately, the self referral service is not available if you are under 16 years of age or require physiotherapy for neurological, breathing or gynaecological problems. This will require a referral by your GP.
