Herts Community Trust are about to cancel all the second dose Astra Zeneca appointments on the National Booking System for Biggleswade Hospital and Priory House in Shefford. Patients will receive a message to re-book as below.
A decision has been taken to streamline the sites to increase local capacity to enable patients to get an earlier vaccination appointment.
Biggleswade Hospital and Priory House in Shefford will deliver all the first dose Pfizer injections and The Weatherly Centre, Biggleswade and The Rufus Centre, Flitwick will focus on all the second dose Astra Zeneca appointments. This approach enables people to get an earlier second dose appointment whilst the first dose appointments are delivered to cohorts 11 and 12. The National Booking System will direct the correct ages to the correct sites.
10,000 new appointments have been made available for people to book into at each site to accommodate the earlier appointments.
Imminently the appointments for second doses at the community sites are going to be cancelled and patients are going to be asked to re-book. Patients should go back onto the National Booking System, via the ‘manage my appointment’ link or phone 119 and re-book an earlier appointment.
Please do not contact the surgery as we are unable to access the system on your behalf.
