The UK is the first country in the world to offer a national vaccination programme to protect both infants and older adults from RSV. Please see link below for further information.
The rollout will start from 1st September 2024 and includes a vaccination for pregnant women over 28 weeks to help protect their new-born babies, a routine programme for those turning 75, and a one off campaign for people aged 75 to 79.

We will be contacting all eligible patients to book an appointment at the surgery to receive this single dose vaccination.
You may be offered your shingles or pneumococcal vaccine at the same time as the RSV vaccine if you are eligible – it is safe to have these vaccines at the same time.
