The doctors and staff welcome you to Greensands Medical Practice. We provide a wide range of general medical services from our two premises in Potton and Gamlingay.

Both sites have easy wheelchair access.

STAFF TRAINING

 

Potton and Gamlingay Surgeries will be closed for staff training on the afternoon of the 20th November from 1230h. In the event of an emergency please call 111. The surgeries will reopen on Wednesday 21st November as normal.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**


There are three types of vaccines available this year. This will ensure that the most suitable vaccine provides the best protection to each group as below:-

Quadrivalent for patients aged 18 to 64 in an at risk group (please see on NHS Choices for further details on these groups)
PLEASE BOOK

Trivalent for patients aged 65 and over
PLEASE BOOK AT RECEPTION

Fluenz Nasal Spray for Children aged 2 – 3 yrs and those children in an at risk group in school years 6 to age 17
PLEASE BOOK AT RECEPTION


Your GP encourages you to have your vaccine here so that we can check your records for eligibility for other important vaccines such as Shingles and Pneumonia.

Patient Transport Schemes

A number of car schemes are available for Greensands Medical Practice patients who would otherwise be unable to get to medical appointments or visit patients in hospitals.  Our Patient Transport Scheme leaflet, put together by our Patient Participation Group, gives basic details of volunteer and community organised schemes.  It also gives information about the Free NHS transport service available to eligible patients and how you could reclaim transport costs incurred for essential visits to hospital.

The Patient will either be given telephone advice, a face to face appointment or a home visit.

If a patient requires a face to face appointment, they will be allocated an appointment at one of the locations listed below:-

Patient Participation Group

The practice is actively seeking new members for our Patient Participation Group (PPG).  The group consists of patients registered at the practice and practice staff.  They meet on a regular basis and advise and support the practice on new initiatives.
